Rehabilitation of the public railroad infrastructure in the port of Constanța

Client: Regionala CFR ConstanțaDurată: June 2022 – March 2025 From June 2022 to March 2025 extensive maintenance work has been carried out on the rail infrastructure in the port of Constanța with the aim of increasing efficiency. Track maintenance: renewal of over 70 km of track with completely new materials. Switch installation: Installation of over 150 new type 90 switches with radii of 300 and 190 m. Sleeper replacement: 28 turnouts received new wooden sleepers. Complete reconstruction of the superstructure with entirely new materials: 53.557 km of track (5200 tons of rail; 331 JILs; 70,000 concrete sleepers; 161,000 tons of crushed stone) Complete replacement of track switches with new switches mounted on concrete sleepers: 224 equivalent switches Track maintenance Switch installation Sleeper replacement
