Project description

In 2020, the first phase of the modernization of the railroad line between Bucharest North and Henri Coandă International Airport was carried out in order to create a direct connection to Terminal T1. The works included the construction of embankments, the consolidation of the terrain and the renewal of the railroad superstructure.

  • Soil and insulation work: Macres reinforced soil structures and laying of vertical concrete slabs to improve the load-bearing capacity of the subsoil (9,600 m3), backfilling with cohesive material (56,000 m3) and installation of geotextile partition walls (13,000 m2) and biaxial geogrids to improve stability (13,000 m2).
  • Railroad superstructure: Type 60 railroad superstructure (3,200 m) including elastic clamping and new concrete sleepers.
  • Switches and rails: Installation of 5 new switches and crossings to optimize the track layout.

Rehabilitation of the public railroad infrastructure in the port of Constanța

Client: Regionala CFR ConstanțaDurată: since June 2022 From June 2022 to the present day, extensive maintenance work has been carried out on the rail infrastructure in the port of Constanța with the aim of increasing efficiency. Construction of catenary for the rehabilitation of the Border – Curtici – Simeria railroad line

Client: Siemens Mobility S.R.L.Duration: 2017 – 2024 The renovation of the Border – Curtici – Simeria railroad line is part of Pan-European Transport Corridor IV and enables train speeds of up to 160 km/h. This project includes important technical measures to improve the infrastructure. Electrical protection: Carrying out work to electrically protect the installations along and next to the track.
